Every ENERGY STAR qualified window and door design is independently tested and certified to perform at levels that meet or exceed strict energy efficiency criteria set by the U.S. Department of Energy. The American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) brings together the professionals of window, door, and skylight manufacturing companies, both large and small, from all across the U.S. and internationally, to represent both individual and shared concerns. The AAMA has developed voluntary standards to test and verify the performance and quality of windows, doors, and skylights. All of MI Windows and Doors’ product lines have been Gold Label Certified.
The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) is a non-profit organization that administers the only uniform, independent rating and labeling system for the energy performance of windows, doors, skylights, and attachment products. Look for the NFRC label when comparing product’s energy performance. The design in every MI Windows and Doors product has been NFRC certified.
U.S. Green Building Council, is a non-profit organization composed of leaders across the industry working to advance environmentally responsible buildings. USGBC is the founder of LEED, a voluntary building certification program that defines high-performance green buildings.
